This is simply to say that a lawyer well known for filing injunctions against protesters on behalf of companies has had one served against several groups and individuals who have previously had involvement in the Climate Camp. There are several things that need communicating with regards to this:

The camp is going ahead. It may be that some people can no longer take part, but as far as we know, no Christian participant has been affected. There are no less than 3 back-up plans, and we shall find our place within them if we must, but we still expect there to be a camp.

GreenPeace has taken on running the legal support for the site itself, which is a massive help given their standing. A barrister has been instructed, and a challenge to this injunction will happen.

Prayer is required, especially for the 4 named persons, one of whom has been a massive help in getting the Christian Neighbourhood accepted. The lawyer in question often gets things wrong and rarely succeeds. We must pray that this works out for the best, that more people come because of the media interest, and that the injunction is defeated quickly.
